Kick Your Ass-paragus Run

Race Location/Time:
Empire Public Beach at the pavilion. Race starts at 9:00 am Saturday May 16, 2009.

Course:
We are going to kick your ass-paragus on this run and kick off the Empire Asparagus Festival in beautiful downtown Empire. The course begins at the pavilion located at the Empire public beach on the shore of Lake Michigan and will proceed straight uphill on Lake Street and Wilco Road to the trailhead of the Empire Bluff. Make a U-turn and it’s all downhill from there. Continue through the quaint neighborhoods of Empire as you make your way back to the finish at the lighthouse.

Registration:
A $12 Registration fee gets you an awesome Ass-paragus Run t-shirt! Only 40 shirts are available. Sign up before the race at the start/finish area between 8:00 am and race time

Age Groups:
12 and Under, 13-17, 18-29, 30-45, 46-55, 56+65, 66 plus

Awards:
Medals for top runner in each category and 1 pound of fresh asparagus goes to the overall male and overall female 1st place finishers.
